African Apostolic Church steadily growing

One of the largest growing religious groups in South Africa, the African Apostolic Church, originally founded in Zimbabwe, is steadily gaining ground locally with branches in just about every major city and township around the country. The church whose members hold their prayer meetings in open spaces, is often mistaken for the Shembe Church, who also dress in white and hold their prayer meetings in an open veldt.

Women’s Month draws to a close

Women from different denominations congregated at the Methodist Church on Saturday, August 29, to celebrate the last day of Women’s Month. The event was organised by pastor Margaret Boekhouer and the Methodist Church council who prepared and served food to the guests.
