The St James Methodist Church in Vosloorus Zulu Section will donate dozens of water bottles to deserving needy community members.
Water bottles were collected from members of the church.
Khumbu Manzingana, who is leading the project, said they had to give away to the needy community members since there is a water crisis in South Africa.
“There are six of us in the committee that helps to run different projects in the church.
“Many of the projects that we are running have helped needy people a lot.
“I am certain that this project will help as well.
“I want the Gift of the Givers to come and collect these water bottles and see where they will use them.
“I heard them cry on TV saying they’re running short of water.
“It is not much but I think this will help even though it is very little,” said Manzingana.
She thanked all the members of the church who donated water bottles.
Mlungisi Zwane, an ordained minister at St James Methodist Church in Southern Africa, said: “I am very happy as a pastor that the church has successfully put up such a project.
“They have done good cause in the name of God,” said Zwane.
