Water rollers welcomed by recipients

Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital management and board members, and community members who benefited from the initiative. Water rollers were initiated by the hospital and Sanlam staff members. Dr Nomonde Mqhayi-Mbambo, who is wearing a yellow dress, is seen holding one of the water rollers.

Hospital chief executive officer (CEO) Dr Nomonde Mqhayi-Mbambo said this initiative by the hospital’s management and the board, is intended to promote access to clean water to prevent waterborne diseases.

“Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital’s core function is to provide quality health care, but since we form part of our catchment population we felt it proper and befitting to take social responsibility seriously.

“The hospital will be embarking on a number of social responsibility programmes to prevent diseases,” said Dr. Mqhayi-Mbambo.

Dr Mqhayi-Mbambo thanked local leadership in Vosloorus under Nkululeko Sidu and councillors for facilitating the process of identifying the beneficiaries.

The office of the CEO and the hospital board wish to extend its gratitude to Sanlam and Remake Tomorrow for making this great initiative a reality.

The beneficiaries were from informal settlements – Zama Zama, Peter Mokaba and Somalia Park in Vosloorus.
