Communications official at Katlehong SAPS Capt Mega Ndobe said the suspects were arrested during a stop-and-search operation conducted by the Crime Prevention Unit and Katlehong detectives.

“Suspects were arrested for the following crimes: common assault, possession of dagga and murder.

“Three of the suspects, including a woman (34) and two males aged 24 and 34, allegedly assaulted and murdered a man at Moleleki Extension Two on Sunday, August 6.

“It is alleged that the deceased was badly stabbed with a sharp object at about 4am on Sunday, August 6. He was taken to hospital, where he later died the following day due to a stab wound,” said Ndobe.

Ndobe said an investigation was conducted and led the detectives to the three suspects on Monday August 15.
