Vosloorus gig to feature top acts

Showbiz impresario Princey Pee is ready to host what he describes as the first live music show of its kind in Vosloorus.

Princey Pee, the young Kathorus showbiz entrepreneur, has promised residents of Vosloorus a sizzling music event. It is scheduled for Sunday, February 19.

Dubbed the Vosloorus Music Festival, the event will be held at the popular Ebasuthwini Bus Stop. It will feature a variety of local popular live bands and musicians and two visiting artists from Malawi and Zimbabwe.

The show will start promptly at noon and continue until 6pm.

According to Pee, the line-up will include kwaito music as well as noted local DJs Viwe “The Don” ka Myaluza, Vuyi Gcabashe of Kasie FM and Thembi. Vocalist Siyakha Khitha, the 2016 Idols contestant, will render a few soulful tunes, while Afro-jazz guitarist Sipho Magudulela is expected to brighten things up with his Afro-rock beats.

Visiting artists Chris Keleand of Malawi and Josh Mesh of Zimbabwe are both described as “seasoned” and are highly respected by their peers in the Afro-pop genre.

“We will also have Maskandi music, to cater for the local traditional taste,” said Pee.

He said it will be a fun-filled day for the residents of Vosloorus.
