Ext 25 Masters FC, based in Vosloorus Extension 25, humiliated Siyabangena Football Masters on Sunday, December 4 in the Ekurhuleni Keep Fit League game.

The game, which took place at Ext 25 Sports Grounds, was played under very sunny conditions.

It ended by eight goals to three in favour of the home team.

According to one of Ext 25 Masters officials, Simon Tladinyana, it was tough playing in the heat.

“The players responded very well to new coach Boldwin Mabuya’s tactics. He is a good tactician. We are so lucky to have him on our team,” said Tladinyana.

The first three goals were scored by Madoda Mhluli, Musa Mthembu and Zwelakhe Ntuli, respectively.

The fourth goal was scored by Ace Hlaise and the fifth by Sibusiso Sobopha from the penalty spot.

The scorer of the sixth and eighth goals was Mzwakhe Radebe while the seventh goal was scored by Kenny Nxumalo.

Jacob Vilakazi, one of the officials from Ext 25 Masters FC, said the result will improve their log position.

“We are currently occupying fifth spot on the log. After this game we will be moving to the fourth position, depending on the results of other games. But I am certain whatever happen in other games, we will be favoured by good goal difference as we scored so many goals today,” said Vilakazi.

Kgotso Maimane, the CEO of Siyabangena Football Masters, said his team didn’t perform well.

“Besides the poor performance from my team, we were also let down by the fact that we played the whole game with 10 players. Most of our players sustained injuries from previous games, whereas others did not make it to this game because of transport problems,” said Maimane.

All three goals of the visiting team were scored by David Phahla.
