Upcoming artist releases a new single

Dumisani Mlaudza, also known as Sean Trimz, is back with a new single titled “East-side”.

Released on Friday, March 3, the track was produced by Pijoline Beats, a talented and versatile producer from the East Rand.

The track features sisters Naledi and Masego Charlie, who are collectively known as Ms Charlie.

“I feel like this is something that the entire East Rand will appreciate, because I am from the East and I am embracing the coast. Finally the ones who are outside the East will stop overlooking us. Talent from the East is rising rapidly, from DJs to models to actors and actresses,” he said.

Trimz has been releasing his music under his own recording company, Certified Clique Music, since his first single in 2015.

Thang For Ya was featured on MTV Base’s Hate or Rate. The month-long competition let viewers rate the music videos of upcoming artists.

The track also featured on Trace Africa’s Bout to Blow, a segment for upcoming artists who they believe are about to take over the music scene.

Trimz is currently orchestrating the East-side radio tour to promote the single through radio stations in different provinces.

Born on May 30, 1993, Sean Trimz is an advertising graduate from Boston Media House and has released two singles, including My Turn and Thang For Ya.

Although he is not pursuing the career he qualified for, he emphasises that education is helping him a lot.

“I was born in Natalspruit in Thokoza and grew up in Vosloorus. I started recording at the age of 18, in 2011, and formed my own recording label, Certified Clique Music, in 2013,” Trimz explained.

“In 2015, I released My Turn and it brought me recognition. It was play-listed all over campus radio as well as a few commercial radio stations, such as YFM, Lesedi FM and Ukhozi FM.”

The music video was shot in Vosloorus, in his “hood”, Zompie section. “The low-budget video was only available on YouTube,” he said.

“In 2016 I released Thang For Ya, which put me on the map. Everyone who received the song was very positive. Everyone felt like it is the song that can embraced worldwide.

“The song is available on iTunes, SoundCloud, Tidal, Google Play and Datafilehost,” he said.

Trimz didn’t waste time. He shot the music video 23 days later so he could focus on building himself as an artist, Certified Clique Music as a brand and the song in time for winter.

“With the help of DJ Chronic, Sibusiso Ndulula and Kofi, the music video turned out to be a success and it boasts nothing but quality,” Trimz said.
